Following the hike in tuition fee, the students of the Kaduna State College of Education Gidan Waya Jema'a Local Government Area took to the streets to protest on Monday, but many of them were confronted by a far worse fate.

Many of the students who were protesting were shot at by security operatives and many are feared dead.
Some of the students reported that the Security Operatives just opened fire on them, in a bid to disperse them from gathering.
"We came out to protest over the increase of our school fees when we met security operatives outside. They started shooting at us, some of our colleagues are dead now."
Some students were also reported to have been arrested and taken away by the said Security Operatives.
