The death of the former Chief Executive of Super TV has taken a new turn, as his family claims that he was tortured before his death.
The deceased billionaire was reportedly stabbed to death by a 21 year old Chidinma Ojukwu; student of the mass Communication Department, University of Lagos.
The family has however called on the Nigerian Police to dig deeper into the investigation as the autopsy carried out on his body reveals that he was killed by more than one person.
The elder brother of the deceased Dr. Isi Ataga affirmed this new report.
He stated that Usifo was not stabbed twice or five times as Chidinma claimed but was stabbed multiple times. He disclosed that his hands were tied as revealed by the marks all over his wrist, accompanied by evidence of assault and torture.
His brother continually affirmed that he was bound, gagged and tortured, as no noise or scream were heard by people in the environment where the crime happened.
The now viral video with the deceased lying lifeless on the floor reveals a room with blood-stained walls and floor, evidence of heated struggle.
A childhood friend of the deceased by the name Douglas Aniemena speaking with Vanguard said;
"The brutal and gory nature of his body; the amount of stabs, wounds, body bruises, bound marks and other inevitable torture marks on his body. The salacious, stories, rumors and false narratives were particularly shocking also in a most distasteful way".
He stated that the deceased has a house in the VGC that he could have used apart from his house at Banana Island, Ikoyi.
"He also has multiple friends who are hotel owners as well as short-let apartment owners in the same Lekki phase 1 estate and neighbouring Ikoyi, that would avail him of their facilities if he so needed or asked. So why would he allow and agree to meet up with someone in a short-let apartment that the person had booked".
He also referred to the claim by the suspect that Usifo gave her his ATM Card and pin to withdraw any amount as laughable and preposterous, as those who knew the deceased will attest that he will not talk or act like that.
