Hospital Refuses To Treat a Gun Shot Victim

Late Nkechi

Hospital bluntly refused to treat a gun shot victim in Abuja on the 3rd of July 2018, on the account that a police report was not produced.

These lives that could have been saved but was lost because of carelessness and non challantness, who will answer for them?

'It's like a virus that has crept into our nation and threatens to do great harm'. That virus is termed disregard for human lives. Nigeria is one of the nations in the world that has recorded a great deal of loose of human lives in the past 10 years, and yet the level at which human lives are valued in the country deteriorates by the day. it can in fact be likened to a currency loosing its value. very saddening!!

The deceased lady by the name Linda Nkechi Igwetu, an indigene of Anambra State was a graduate of Geographical Science from the University of Lagos and was serving her father land as a corp member in Abuja before the unfortunate incident on that faithful night.
She was reported to have been returning from work with some of colleagues in the late hours of the night. They were hence flagged down by some police men on getting to a police check point, but the driver did not stop but drove on. One of the police men then opted to fire a shot at the car and unfortunately, the bullet got the corp member from behind the screen.
She was immediately rushed to a hospital, but was refused treatment because their was no police report. Nkechi thus bled to death

May Her Soul Rest In Peace

Question : In the absence of a police report, shouldn't the shot vicitm be treated on the bases of being a corp member, under the umbrella of the National Youth Service Corporation on the account of her health insurance with the corporation for one year.
'Just asking'
