Building Your Teens' Self-Esteem (4)

A Series Powered by Parent-Teen Relationship Consult (PTRC)

  • Celebrate What Your Teen Excels At: Accepting your teen’s talents, gifts or areas of excellence is one way of boosting his/her self esteem. It does not matter if you find his/her interest important or beneficial. All they require from you (Parent) is love and support. It could be in football, arts, cheer leading, singing, fixing cars, etc.
Find ways to encourage your teen’s interests by either words of affirmation, gifts, or being available to attend practices, rehearsals or competitions. This undoubtedly helps to build a very strong/positive self esteem them.

REMEMBER, effective parenting is a deliberate, calculated and skillfully planned responsibility
