Nnamdi Kalu the leader of the separatist group Biafra (IPOB) was confirmed to have been picked up from a location in Africa, a top source from the Nigerian government revealed.
Diplomats confirmed that he was not arrested in Europe as has been the information in circulation.
The family of Kalu are unhappy about the news and has asked that their son who is currently in the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS) be not manhandled.
Emmanuel Kalu, brother of Nnamdi Kalu speaking today at Umuahia, Abia State said that the IPOB leader stood on the path of truth and has not committed any crime to deserve persecution.
He further noted that Nnamdi Kalu only awakened the consciousness of Nigerians about the real state of the country, and thus ask for the freedom of Biafrans which is their fundamental right.
"My brother committed no crime, and the whole world is watching"
