'Nigeria must of necessity invest in her people, if she must experience national development'.
Well, the above statement is a quote that almost every great leader will quote; Even the worlds richest and most influential men Bill Gates who on just one visit to Nigeria saw and voiced 'The most important choice you make is to maximize your greatest resource, the Nigerian people'.
The concept of investing in and maximizing the Nigerian people is what the government of Nigeria and civil society groups/organizations should turn their attention to and really understand.
The concept is sincerely beyond the distribution of sewing machines, wheel barrows, computers and the likes to the citizens of Nigeria just because one wants to win an election or is posing to be a good leader. Like it's called 'a concept' that means it should be understood and then done systematically with much discretion.
All I say is that the government and some civil society groups should unlearn what they understand about investing in and maximizing the Nigerian people and move to really understanding what the concept really entail.
