*A Series*
Since the death she so desires is far fetched, she sets on a course to find PEACE; peace for her very soul, peace that will enable the stability of her mind. Her life may seem in rumble but she see flickers of light that kinda gives her strength to continue her push in life…… hmmmm! PUSH, sometimes all the strength in her leaves and pushing then seem so impossible
On her quest to find PEACE, she discovers FRIENDS;
Friends who make her smile/laugh, who brings out the best in her. She feels on top of the world when she is with them, and everything feels fine as long as she sticks with them, who knows, one of them might actually turn out to be the one with whom she will be joined in matrimony, and everything will be finally perfect.
In her thoughts, she has reached her final destination and has at last found PEACE, she has found that very thing that she so craves for in life, yes!!! she has finally found it. But something bites deep within whenever she reaches that conclusion; when she is alone she feels shadow of unrest and confusion try to drown her while her eyes are open, as though the very absence of PEACE still lingers.
QUESTION: what was it she got from friends?
In that state of unrest, she concludes that PEACE does not yet dwell with her and she wonders what it is that FRIENDS actually gives. Definitely not peace she concludes.
Her quest therefore continues..………………….

Sweet and Sour but interesting thoughts:
ReplyDeleteANSWER:
Friends are a double edged sword. They fill one with joy but can also drain one of joy. The secret to a happy friendship is to give and not expect too much in return, for that helps to avoid disappointment.
To quantify friendship by gain and loss is unfair. We all have our quests for whatever reasons, some open, some concealed and all confront different levels of difficulties. That a friend does not appear to give much does not mean they have not. Some have secretly given more than they even have and still continue to give in things like time, emotion, sacrificed other friendships and even family ties, but not everyone makes it known because to do so would be to make a friend feel indebted.
It is important to remember that as much as she might feel battered and hurt perhaps by conduct of friends (rightly or wrongly), there are equally people who might feel the same way about her conduct (rightly or wrongly).
When friendships go sour 2 wrongs don't make a right and making oneself unapproachable does not help. Any relationship between matured adults can flourish but only when both parties open their drawbridges and work together. No third party has ever bonded a couple successfully with true happiness, I stand to be corrected.
When she is overwhelmed with the shadow of unrest and confusion she should think if her drawbridge is down and those who really care can access her.
When she feels the death wish, she should think of the scars others will bear for her actions and ponder do they deserve to suffer her grief if not given an opportunity to console her.
Nice one, you should write for the blog
DeleteWow, nice one
